| Whether you choose Core Health Benefits, Hospital Coverage
— or both—you're covered for a wide range of health expenses.
Core Health Benefits include coverage for hearing aids, accidental
dental, nursing care, emergency out-of-province travel insurance,
and more, and Hospital Coverage provides up to $175 per day for hospital
accommodation, up to 90 days per year. For additional protection,
you can customize your Blue Choice Health Care Plan by adding important
options like Prescription Drugs, Dental. |
| Options can be added at any time,
as your needs change |
| Due to changes in jobs, company health plans, or other
circumstances, you may lose health benefits you previously held, or
require additional coverage. To ensure your protection, you may easily
apply to add the necessary options to your Blue Choice Health Care
Plan at any time. |
| Dependents may be covered under your
plan |
| Your dependents are covered: up to age 25 if they're
in full-time attendance at an accredited institution, college or university;
or to age 21 if they're unmarried, unemployed, and living at home. |
| Coverage may be a| tax advantage to
you |
| The premiums in this plan are eligible medical expenses
under the Canadian Federal Income Tax Act and may create a tax credit
for you. If you are self-employed, you may now be able to deduct your
health coverage premiums from your annual income. |
